Customer assets sit in segregated wallets accounted for separately from operating funds in a double-entry ledger, never commingled with the venue treasury. Self-custody by the operator or delegation to a qualified third-party custodian are both supported, and the choice is documented explicitly.
Signing uses multi-party computation with a configurable threshold; shares are generated in a witnessed ceremony, stored on separated infrastructure and rotated on schedule, with multi-signature where a chain or regulator requires an on-chain quorum. A policy engine caps the hot wallet at same-day withdrawal float, typically under five percent of assets under custody, sweeps the excess to cold storage, and requires quorum approval from named signers for any cold release. No operator and no Zethic engineer can reconstruct a whole private key.
Tiered KYC and KYB at onboarding, continuous sanctions and PEP re-screening, chain-analytics risk scoring on every deposit address and withdrawal destination, and originator and beneficiary data exchanged over travel-rule protocols above the local threshold. Alerts open as cases with the full transaction graph attached.
The platform is licensing-agnostic infrastructure: you operate under your own VASP, MiCA, MSB, FSP or equivalent authorisation, and the platform is configured to that regime. Zethic does not operate the venue, hold client assets or act as your regulated entity, and we will not deploy into a market where the operator has no lawful basis to trade.
