Last-mile & reverse logistics software

Plan the Route, Deliver It, Collect the Returns

Zethic Last Mile Logistics Platform is a delivery system that builds routes around real constraints like capacity, time windows and shift length. Give drivers the manifest and proof of delivery, watch routes live, and collect returns on the same trip.

What it is

One platform for the forward leg and the return leg

The platform turns the shipments sitting in your hub at 6am into routes a driver can run: sequenced by drop, constrained by capacity, service time, time windows, shift length and hub cut-off.

On the road the driver app carries the manifest and captures electronic proof of delivery, while the control tower watches every route against plan and raises breaches before the customer calls.

  • Constraint-based routing
  • ePOD with reason codes
  • Reverse pickup on the forward route
  • Live control tower

Capabilities

Capacity & time windows

Route optimisation

Daily routes are built against vehicle capacity, service time per stop, customer time windows, driver shift hours, zone skill and hub cut-off, with manual locks respected.

  • Signature / photo / OTP ePOD
  • COD collection
  • Structured failure reasons
Sequenced manifest

Delivery execution

The driver app carries the sequenced manifest and captures signature, photo, OTP or scan proof with location and timestamp, plus COD collection at the door.

Why teams switch

Routes that survive contact with the day

What changes when the route sheet becomes a constraint-solved plan.

Fewer second attempts

Addresses are validated before planning and recipients get a narrowing ETA with self-serve reschedule.

Planner stays in control

Lock a stop or force a sequence and the optimiser re-solves around your decision.

Keeps your OMS

The platform takes over only the last-mile leg, so commerce and warehouse systems stay put.

Shadow before cutover

Run the optimiser beside your current planner and compare density and first-attempt rate.

How it's different

Route sheets in a spreadsheet cost more than they look

Every row below is a place the manual setup leaks margin.

Manual last-mile operations

Route sheets in a spreadsheet, paper PODs, and ETAs given over the phone.

  • A planner sequences stops from area knowledge
  • Proof of delivery is paper, filed in a box at the hub
  • A failed attempt is a scribbled note, so it repeats
  • Reverse pickups run as a separate half-empty trip
  • Cost per drop is reconstructed at month end

Last Mile Logistics Platform

Constraint-based routing, electronic proof of delivery, and one live control tower.

  • Routes optimised against capacity, time windows and shift hours in minutes
  • Signature, photo, OTP or scan with GPS and timestamp on the record
  • Structured failure reason codes reported by zone and cause
  • Pickups and RTO planned into the forward route by proximity
  • Cost per drop and dwell time reported by route, hub and driver

How it works

From hub sort to return to stock

  1. 01 Overnight

    Shipments land and are planned

Orders arrive from your OMS, WMS or marketplace feeds and are validated for address quality.

    Address validationConstraint routingMulti-hub
  2. 02 At the hub

    Sort, load and dispatch

Each route prints as a sequenced load list, scanned onto the vehicle so the manifest is verified before it leaves.

    Scan-to-loadManifest verificationDispatch notification
  3. 03 On the road

    Deliver, collect and prove

The driver works the sequence, captures ePOD at each door, collects COD where due, and picks up returns on the same run.

    Sequenced dropsePOD captureReverse pickup
  4. 04 Back at base

    Reconcile, reattempt, return to stock

Cash is reconciled per driver, failed deliveries are scheduled for reattempt automatically, and collected returns track through hub receipt, grading and return to stock.

See it before you commit

The loop runs from the shipment landing at the hub to the parcel back on a sellable shelf, on one record.

Use cases

Where the platform earns its keep

01 D2C fulfilment

A festive-season volume spike

Daily shipments triple for three weeks.

Capacity added where the density says

02 Fashion & apparel returns

A high-return category

Exchange pickups are planned onto the same routes as the day's deliveries with a doorstep condition check, then graded back to sellable stock.

Returns ride the forward route

03 3PL

A client demanding SLA evidence

Every shipment carries its timeline, ePOD and structured failure reason, so a missed service level is answered from a report rather than hub calls.

SLA disputes answered from evidence

04 Bulky & appliance delivery

A two-person installation drop

The optimiser models the longer service time, the two-person crew and the confirmed window, so the route stays realistic instead of collapsing at stop four.

Routes that survive contact with the day

Integrations

It sits beside the systems you already run

The platform takes over the last-mile leg and leaves your commerce, warehouse and finance systems where they are.

Lastcore Shopify WooCommerce Magento Marketplace shipment feeds Custom OMS via API WMS platforms SAP & Oracle ERP Inventory & stock masters

Security & compliance

Built to pass your security review

A last-mile platform holds recipient addresses, contact numbers, signatures and doorstep photos.

Encryption everywhere

AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, with ePOD photos and signatures served only through short-lived signed URLs.

Recipient contact masking

Drivers call recipients through a masked proxy number that expires when the stop closes.

Tamper-evident proof of delivery

Each ePOD artefact is bound to its shipment, driver, GPS coordinates and timestamp at capture, and is immutable afterwards.

Data residency you choose

Run as a managed service in a regional tenancy or deploy into your own cloud account.

  • ISO 27001 controls
  • AES-256 / TLS 1.3
  • GDPR-aligned data handling
  • SOC 2 Type II In progress
  • PCI DSS via payment partners

Frequently asked

Answers to your questions

Still unsure? Send us the question you actually need answered and a senior engineer will reply.

Book a demo
What constraints does the route optimiser actually respect?

Vehicle capacity by weight and volume, service time per stop, customer time windows, driver shift hours and breaks, zone or skill restrictions, hub cut-offs and multi-hub allocation. Planners can lock a stop or force a sequence and the engine re-optimises around it.

How does the platform improve first-attempt delivery rate?

Addresses are validated before planning, and the recipient gets a narrowing ETA window and self-serve reschedule. Every failure is captured against a structured reason code, so you can fix the dominant cause per zone instead of just reattempting.

Can reverse pickups run on the same routes as deliveries?

Yes. Customer returns, exchange pickups and RTO consignments are planned into forward routes by proximity and remaining capacity. Each pickup carries a doorstep condition check with photo evidence and tracks through hub grading back to stock.

What forms of proof of delivery are supported?

Signature on glass, photo at the door, OTP confirmation and barcode or QR scan, configurable per client or shipment type. Each artefact is bound to the shipment, driver, GPS coordinates and timestamp at capture and is immutable afterwards.

Will it integrate with our existing OMS or WMS?

Yes. The platform is API-first and takes over only the last-mile leg. Shipments arrive over the API, a channel connector or a bulk file import, and webhooks push status, ePOD artefacts and return events back.
